Your day will come
"Your day will come" (2024) is the debut LP album by Chanel beads, a project by New York-based musician Shane Lavers.
Released by jagjagwar. The music blurs the boundaries between post-punk, pop, ambient, and experimental, making it quite addictive. I was curious and looked it up, and found that the painting on the cover was a monochrome version of Peder Severin Krøyer's "Midsummer Eve bonfire on Skagen's beach" (1906). (Ammel)
"Here he has gathered artists, middle-class people, local women and children in a large circle around a midsummer's eve bonfire on the beach in Skagen. The painting is a homage to the artists' colony, but Krøyer himself is not in the painting. This is the first time he has painted local people alongside the artists, but there is a strong difference between the two groups, as the artists and middle-class people are positioned on the light left side of the painting, while the majority of the local people are positioned on the dark right side."
