[USED] Showa Photos: Complete Works by Shoji Ueda

From the Asahi Shimbun Company, this is "Showa Photography: The Complete Works of Ueda Shoji" (1983).

The book includes Ueda Shoji's masterpieces from his early prewar period, a series of his representative works from his early postwar period, as well as his autobiography and an article about a conversation he had with Okai Teruo.

It has yellowed over time and has the typical smell of second-hand books, but please understand that it is a second-hand book and may have some damage.

Monochrome photographs, flat compositions of sand dunes, Showa-era Japan. This book is of great documentary value, featuring Ueda Shoji's work that captures an atmosphere that cannot be captured by modern photographers, as well as words by the artist himself and a review from the Asahi Camera magazine of the time (Ammel).
