True issue 8, November 2023, features a previously unpublished series of work by Catherine Opie, "2020." This series of diptychs (paired photographs) is accompanied by a conversation with writer and curator Charlotte Cotton.

In "Archive," Carla Williams and Paul Sepuya discuss Carla's collection of vintage pin-up photography of Black women and her debut book, Tender (TBW Books, 2023).

Molly Matalon previews a new work she created with her partner Steven.

Abdulhamid Kircher's personal diary entries are presented alongside photographic studies capturing his complex relationship with his father.

Additionally, Alastair McKimm, Lola and Pani talk about their teenage years, and this excerpt from the conversation is accompanied by a preview of the photography duo's upcoming book, Bumps, due for publication in 2024.

Additionally, Kalpesh Lathigra appears again: his feature “Ancestral Landscapes” follows on from his previous work featured in our February 2019 issue (Issue 6) and continues to explore his connection to his homeland.
