"The French Dispatch Covers" (2025) by Javi Aznarez.

This book compiles all of Javi Aznarez's cover illustrations for "The French Dispatch." Like Wes Anderson's film, the book reflects the format of The New Yorker magazine from the mid-1970s, which inspired it. Cover art direction was handled by Erica Dorn. This collection highlights Aznarez's distinctive style—bold lines, vibrant colors, and understated, ironic humor—evoking the golden age of print illustration while perfectly complementing Anderson's meticulously crafted world.

Javi Aznarez is a Spanish artist and illustrator known for his expressive line work, cinematic compositions, and dark humor. Based in Cadaqués, Spain, he has collaborated with major media outlets such as The New Yorker, The New York Times, and El País, and has worked on projects for prominent brands like Macallan. Beyond illustration, he co-founded an art studio and gallery in Cadaqués, where he also teaches drawing and printmaking. His work blends irony and elegance, drawing inspiration from mid-20th-century aesthetics, cinema, and the absurdity inherent in everyday life.
