The Fellowship

The LP "The Fellowship" (2021) by Joseph Shabason.

"The Fellowship" is named after the closed Muslim community to which Shabason's Jewish parents belonged before he was born.

This album is an essay-like depiction of the way Shabazon's inner self changes with each track. The process of religion affecting a child's development is something that is not often seen in Japan, but this is skillfully expressed through warm electronica, saxophone, and a disturbing development (Ammel).
