REMEMBER TO DREAM!
REMEMBER TO DREAM!
The exhibition is "REMEMBER TO DREAM!" (2023) by Hans Ulrich Obrist, curator and artistic director of Serpentine Galleries in London.
Sharing his curatorial expertise to his 386,000+ followers (and counting) on his Instagram feed, Shaw seeks to revive the art of the hand-drawn in an ever-advancing digital age, resulting in the most comprehensive look at the art world from the inside out with a renowned cast of artists, writers, designers, musicians, actors, architects and public figures.
Known as " Post-it notes ," this open-ended project sees the artist collect some of the world's greatest contemporary artists' thoughts, dreams, drawings, musings, jokes, quotes, questions, answers, poems, puns, and more, handwritten on everyday Post-it notes. Ranging from the empowering and philosophical to the uplifting and straightforward, the original and funny to the tender last words, "Remember to Dream " (from the notebooks of American photographer Carrie Mae Weems) paints a picture of the "art world" as heard directly from many of the 21st century's most celebrated artists.
The book includes a preface by the author and the cover was designed by Dutch graphic designer Irma Boom.

These days, I feel the importance of taking notes. However, in an emergency, I tend to rely on the convenient memo function on my smartphone. In a world filled with standardized text, this book is full of the appeal of handwritten notes. (Ammel)
