Special feature: The mysteries of language that we want to communicate because it is not understood
The special issue is "Language." We believe that language is what most reveals an individual. It is something that cannot be skipped even in the midst of globalization. As NEUTRAL COLORS, we place importance on the uniqueness of each place, individual culture, and individuality, so this was a theme we wanted to explore. Trying to learn new languages no matter how old you are. Communicating through Braille, sign language, and gestures. Language is anything that you "try to communicate." This is something we are constantly reminded of while creating the magazine. When you want to convey something important, you are unable to put it into words. When you meet someone who speaks a different language, you stutter, you fall silent, and the language barrier gets in the way. For NEUTRAL COLORS, language is "something that cannot be communicated." That is why we wanted to communicate through the entire magazine, and this attempt and shift in thinking was what NC wanted to do with the "Language" special issue.

As this is a special feature on language that originated with editor Kato's father, the density of words is clearly higher than in previous issues. It also has visual brilliance, thanks to the unique coloring of Risograph (simply put, a retro printing technique) and changing the paper material depending on the content you want to convey. Risograph pages with a large ink surface area tend to transfer ink onto your fingers, but when you think of the letters as interacting with you and as a three-dimensional experience, it's a fascinating book (Ammel).
