Kiki Mori
This is "Kiki Mori" (2024) by Polish ambient improvised trio Hinode Tapes.
"The main goal this time could be defined as extreme minimalism. Percussion is barely audible and the sound palette has been expanded to include strange sounds such as sticks, palms, plates and springs," he said. "We decided to treat these as important elements of our soundscape and I think this contributed to the dark and raw outcome of our work, including the monochrome and distorted artwork." Piotr Kaliński, who plays guitar and looper, explains:
"Kiki Mori" by Hinode Tapes features a beautifully designed cover with photos of temples and bamboo forests in Kyoto. Momose Yasunaga also participated in this ambient album, which blends in well with the ancient capital. (Ammel)
