Not only is her music a mix of jazz, bossa nova, and indie rock, but her lyrics, which freely switch between English and Japanese, are also mysterious. The climate of one's home can affect one's sensibility, culture, and even musicality, but I personally think that this is an album where she has managed to elevate Japanese into music that is free from the wetness of the language (Ammel).
