"HAND SMOOTHED BY COIN" (2019) is a collection of works by Danish artist FOS.
The objects exist like skin and move between genres. The exhibition features a number of works that intertwine and combine to form "portraits" of matter that move between design and art.
This book features works selected from three series: FOS's exhibition Palimpsest held at Nils Stærk gallery in 2018, After Palimpsest, a collaborative work by FOS, OK-RM, who designed the book, and London-based photographer Esther Theaker, published in Them magazine (Issue No. 20) in 2018, and Hands Smooth by Coins, an installation held at Copenhagen Contemporary in 2019.

This work was published by In Other Words, a London design studio called OK-RM. I selected this book because I found the Japanese words scattered throughout the book to be quite addictive, as they seemed to mismatch with the works contained within. (Ammel)
