From her debut collection, "Ebonics" in Fall/Winter 2015, to her latest collection, "Volta Jazz" in Spring/Summer 2022, Grace has explored the myths and superiority of Blackness on earth, weaving these cultural contexts into her designs. Wales Bonner's collections, presentations, and other expressions encompass diverse identities and capture their aesthetic expression. Now positioned at the forefront of the fashion industry, her aesthetic attempts to blend tailoring techniques with casual streetwear and the gestures of the people who wear it.

Titled " Rhapsody in the Street ," this issue is the 22nd in the "A Magazine Curated by" series, featuring a curated selection of archival and historical materials by designer Grace Wales Bonner, pairing them with newly commissioned essays, paintings, and portraits in response to the traditions of 20th-century Black poetry, literature, and portrait photography. The combination of matte and glossy paper, with gold-plated edges, makes this a beautiful book object. Additionally, this issue includes a randomly inserted print from Cameroonian photographer Samuel Fosso's "Autoportraits II" series.
