Meitei's "Kofū" LP (2024 repress).

This work is an attempt to re-examine art and aesthetics themselves as a "provocation," and as stated in the album's subtitle, it is conceived as "a satire on old Japanese aesthetics."

Through the unique texture of each of his works, Meitei has been recognized as a rare artist who revives past cultures through the medium of ambient music.

However, in "Kofū," he deliberately deconstructs this methodology, and with this work, his first release from KITCHEN. LABEL, he quietly defies expectations set by his previous works, shaking up the very concept of "Japanese sound" in the modern era.
