Quiet Rain / Masakatsu Takagi

This is the soundtrack for "Quiet Rain" (2019), directed by Nakagawa Ryutaro, by Takagi Masakatsu.

It was only released digitally, but instead of using stills from the film, it has been reborn as a musical work with an original envelope-shaped jacket.

According to Masakatsu Takagi, he improvised the music for "Quiet Rain" on prepared piano while watching the entire movie from beginning to end. This technique is reminiscent of Ryuichi Sakamoto's improvisational recording of "Tony Takitani," and is one example of a soundtrack being elevated to a musical work (Ammel).
