This posthumous essay by Vonnegut, one of America's leading postwar writers, explodes with cynical criticism of modern society. It is a final book of hope entrusted to us who live in this world.

After reading The Sirens of Titan, I happened to come across this book in the Troublemakers selection. His plain words, which are consistent in their themes throughout his science fiction novels, really struck a chord with me. Does this mean that the world hasn't changed at all? (Ammel)
