Rules? Books
This is "Rule? Book" (2024) by Shunichi Suga, Miyuki Tanaka, Mizuno Yu and others.
We live surrounded by various rules: laws, regulations, manners, customs, natural laws...
This book aims to update our society by "creating," "using," "reviewing," and "updating" rules, while examining the existence and influence of rules we encounter in various everyday situations. Focusing on these four cycles, it explores from multiple perspectives how rules can be shaped by design.
This book is a guide to creative practices for designing the everyday. It teaches the importance of being aware of the rules around us, relating to them as our own issues, and reinterpreting them flexibly in order to deal with them in a positive way. It also teaches that rules do not restrict our thoughts or actions, but rather allow us to live freely in this society.
